June 1, 2013 > The weather is not that good. Threats of heavy rain. But since we were born SINAPAT, we still decided to go rock climbing, spelunking and trekking in the mountains of Murga, Brgy. Bonbon, Cebu. Am used to climbing but rock climbing and getting inside a cave is new to me. Oh, well, there’s always a first time. 🙂
We were ready and set. Am with my super friend Tyn, doing our vanity shot before leaving.
Then off to JY to meet with the rest of the SINAPATS!!
And then there was beer. Good luck with the trekk. Wahahaha! Oh, well. 🙂
Am really a freak when it comes to riding a motorcycle. Already had an accident once, that’s why. But what choice do I have. Am not going to bail just coz of it. Lame!
After an hour of butt pain and paranoia (I was super stressed coz the driver was at full speed), we arrived at the unfrequented barangay.
With no time wasted, we started the adventure. Good thing is this not new to some of my friends. They’ve been here and since they love us so much, they took us here. 🙂
Food, trekking shoes, headlamps and we forgot our hand gloves… Wahahahahahah! Oh, well. Lezz do dizz!!! 🙂
The view of the waterfalls was amazing. The flow of the water was at it’s hardest. Then we started to climb the rocks on the waterfalls. It’s like you have to fight the flow of water for you to go up. Well, you can climb at the side of the waterfalls but where’s the challenge to that, ayt? Wet and wild rock climbing, indeed!!!
And I just had to pose at this perfect sight! 🙂
After an hour or so, we reached the mouth of Binuthan Cave, Murga. Scanned my pics but there’s no other pic of it. It’s blurred. But, nah! Rest, lunch! Yummy is the pinakupsan. What’s funny was there were a few water in our food. Haha. But it was still sumptuous. 🙂
Now, the water inside the cave was above my entirety. And I don’t know how to swim. My, oh, my! My friends brought a hammock. And since they are smart, they used it to pull me inside. That was crazy. They just love me that much! 🙂
Inside the cave was amazing. The stalagmites and stalactites were beautiful. The darkness of the cave made it a perfect place for them. Having a moment with them was beyond extraordinary! 🙂
After two hours of amazing spelunking, we’re out! Feeling amazed and great. We can’t help but smile about the thought of how great were the things we’ve seen. It was an achievement! 🙂
Time to head back. Another trekking…
Yucksbu and Tyn
It was indeed one of the greatest adventure I’ve done in my life. And being with super friends made it more unforgettable. I think we were born to do rock climbing, spelunking, mountain climbing and trekking. We just love being one with nature! Wahahahah! 🙂
“We love and respect nature! We will protect and take care of mother Earth as long as we live. We may not be able to do much, but the little things we do will count.”
‘Til next adventure, SINAPATS!!! 🙂
